Mark
Ellert is President of IAG Florida, Inc., a development,
mortgage and real estate brokerage service.
Ellert's
twenty-year career began with Citicorp N.A, advising high
net worth clients on real estate acquisitions and joint ventures.
He also served as Executive Vice President of Rahn Properties,
a noted Ft. Lauderdale based resort hotel development and
management firm, from 1984 to 1987 and later assumed responsibility
for all hotel development on behalf of VMS Realty, a Chicago-based
national real estate syndication firm. Subsequently he has
devoted his professional efforts to hospitality, resort and
restaurant development.
Ellert
supervises the day-to-day activities of IAG Florida’s
two operating divisions offering brokerage and development
services. Notable credits include: the creation of a major
redevelopment plan for the Fontainebleau Hilton and related
$105,000,000 refinancing; the sale of the ultra luxury resort
community of Fisher Island for $65,000,0000; $17,500,000 land
sale for development of a 276 unit ultra luxury condo hotel
on Ft. Lauderdale beach; and $40,000,000 construction financing
for the 233 room Ft. Lauderdale Renaissance hotel.
Mark
Ellert holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University
of Texas in Austin as well as a Masters in Business Administration
from the Wharton School of Business. He is a member of the
Urban Land Institute and a co-founder of Kenneth Leventhal's
annual "Resort Forum" industry program.
